Introduction

StemSplitterAI ("we", "our", "the Service") provides AI-powered audio stem separation tools at stemsplitterai.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details. If you sign in with Google One Tap, we receive your Google profile name and email address.

Audio Files

When you upload audio for processing, we temporarily store your original file and the resulting stems on Cloudflare R2 storage. We do not listen to, review, or analyze the content of your audio beyond what is necessary for stem separation.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service: audio file duration, selected presets, processing times, success or failure status, and feature usage patterns.

Device and Network Information

We collect your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system. For anonymous (non-registered) users, we use IP addresses to enforce daily usage limits.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email, and a payment reference. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Google Tag Manager for analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

Audio Processing and Third-Party Services

Your audio files are processed using third-party AI services (Replicate and fal.ai). When you submit audio for processing:

• Your audio file is sent to one of these services for stem separation.
• The service processes the file and returns the separated stems.
• We store the results on Cloudflare R2 for you to access.
• The third-party processing service does not retain your audio after processing is complete.

We do not use your audio files to train AI models. The AI models we use are pre-trained. Your audio is processed and returned without being used for model training, improvement, or any purpose other than delivering your results.

Data Retention

We apply different retention periods based on the type of data:

• Anonymous user audio files (uploads and stems): up to 7 days after processing, then permanently deleted.
• Registered user audio files (uploads and stems): up to 30 days after processing, then permanently deleted.
• Task metadata (file duration, preset selected, processing time, status): up to 24 months. May be anonymized and retained for aggregate analytics after this period.
• IP and device data: 90 days in identifiable form, then anonymized. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained longer.
• Account information: retained for the duration of your account, plus 30 days after account deletion.
• Payment and billing records: 7 years, as required for tax and legal compliance.
• Analytics data (via Google Tag Manager): up to 24 months.

Audio files are permanently deleted from Cloudflare R2 after the applicable retention period. We do not keep copies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

• Process your audio files and deliver stem separation results.
• Manage your account and credits balance.
• Process payments and issue receipts.
• Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• Monitor service performance and diagnose errors.
• Improve the reliability and speed of our processing pipeline.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts).

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with these service providers, under their respective privacy policies:

• Replicate / fal.ai: audio processing. These services receive your audio file to perform stem separation and return the results.
• Stripe: payment processing.
• Cloudflare: file storage (R2) and content delivery.
• Google: authentication (One Tap sign-in) and analytics (via GTM).

We may also disclose information to comply with legal obligations or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

Anonymous (Guest) Users

You can use the Service without creating an account. Anonymous processing is limited to 2 files per IP address per day. We collect your IP address to enforce this limit and for abuse prevention. Anonymous user audio files are retained for up to 7 days after processing.

We do not associate anonymous processing data with any personally identifiable information beyond the IP address used during the session.

Data Security

We protect your data with HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on storage and databases, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard practices to protect your information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and download your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
